Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示装置は、第1絶縁基板と、第1基板上において第1領域及び第2領域に分割される画素領域と、第1絶縁基板に対向する第2絶縁基板と、第1絶縁基板及び前記第2絶縁基板の間に配置される液晶層とを備え、第1領域及び第2領域の各液晶層は複数のドメインに分割され、複数のドメインのそれぞれは電界が印加された時の液晶分子の配向方向により定義され、第2領域の電界の値は第1領域の電界の値よりも弱い。

- 第1絶縁基板と、
前記第1基板上において第1領域及び第2領域に分割される画素領域と、
前記第1絶縁基板に対向する第2絶縁基板と、
前記第1絶縁基板及び前記第2絶縁基板の間に配置される液晶層と、
を備え、前記第1領域及び第2領域の各液晶層は複数のドメインに分割され、複数のドメインのそれぞれは電界が印加された時の液晶分子の配向方向により定義され、前記第2領域の電界の値は前記第1領域の電界の値よりも弱いことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 複数の第1信号線と、前記第1基板上に形成される画素電極とをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素電極は第1薄膜トランジスタにより第1信号線に電気的に接続されている、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 複数の第2信号線をさらに備え、前記第2信号線はそれぞれ2つの隣接する第1信号線の間に配置されている、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
