Abstract
【解決手段】耐火骨材としてマグネシアと炭素質材料を、バインダーとしてフェノール樹脂とタールとピッチの少なくとも一方と2−フルアルデヒドを、バインダーの硬化剤としてホルムアルデヒドを生成する化合物を、それぞれ含有する。そして、バインダー中、フェノール樹脂が20〜60質量%、タールとピッチの少なくとも一方が15〜40質量%、2−フルアルデヒドが20〜50質量%の含有比率であり、またバインダー100質量部に対してホルムアルデヒドを生成する化合物の配合量が9.5質量部以上である。

Description
反応容器にフェノール940質量部、37質量%ホルマリン673質量部、シュウ酸5.6質量部を仕込み、約60分を要して還流させ、そのまま180分間反応させた後、水と未反応のフェノールを留去した、そしてこれを粉砕して粒径100μm以下の粉末にすることによって、軟化点が99℃の固形のノボラック型フェノール樹脂Aを得た。
反応容器にフェノール940質量部、37質量%ホルマリン567質量部、シュウ酸5.6質量部を仕込み、約60分を要して還流させ、そのまま180分間反応させた後、水と未反応のフェノールを留去することによって、軟化点が80℃の固形のノボラック型フェノール樹脂を得た。
反応容器にフェノール940質量部、37質量%ホルマリン1217質量部をとり、これに触媒として20質量%濃度のカセイソーダ水溶液を60質量部加え、60分を要して還流させ、そのまま90分間反応を行なった。その後、直ちに13300Paの減圧下で100℃まで脱液し、半固体状のレゾール型フェノール樹脂を得た。
反応触媒としてキシレンスルホン酸を表1に示す配合量で配合するようにした他は、実施例3と同様にして坏土を得た。この坏土について実施例1と同様にして、固定炭素量、一日後及び一週間後の揮発分、かさ比重、曲げ強さを測定し、その結果を表1に示した。

Claims (9)
- 耐火骨材としてマグネシアと炭素質材料を、バインダーとしてフェノール樹脂とタール及びピッチの少なくとも一方と2−フルアルデヒドを、バインダーの硬化剤としてホルムアルデヒドを生成する化合物を、それぞれ含有し、バインダー中、フェノール樹脂が20〜60質量%、タール及びピッチの少なくとも一方が15〜40質量%、2−フルアルデヒドが20〜50質量%の含有比率であると共に、バインダー100質量部に対してホルムアルデヒドを生成する化合物の配合量が9.5質量部以上であることを特徴とする耐火物組成物。
- タール及びピッチは軟化点が30〜400℃のものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の耐火物組成物。
- フェノール樹脂は、固体であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の耐火物組成物。
- フェノール樹脂は、液体であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の耐火物組成物。
- 2−フルアルデヒドと、タール及びピッチの少なくとも一方のうち、いずれか一方は、耐火骨材にフェノール樹脂を配合する際に同時に配合されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の耐火物組成物。
- フェノール樹脂、タール及びピッチの少なくとも一方、2−フルアルデヒドのうち、いずれか二種類が予め混合された状態で耐火骨材に配合されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の耐火物組成物。
- フェノール樹脂、タール及びピッチの少なくとも一方、2−フルアルデヒドの三種類が予め混合された状態で耐火骨材に配合されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の耐火物組成物。
- 2−フルアルデヒドはその一部が予め、フェノール樹脂と、タール及びピッチの少なくとも一方のうち、少なくとも一方と反応されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の耐火物組成物。
- フェノール樹脂とタール及びピッチの少なくとも一方と2−フルアルデヒドとを反応させる反応触媒が含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の耐火物組成物。
