個々の隔室間の分割壁または仕切部材における典型的な溢流堰および特別に設計された底流開口部によって、液体および固体のRTDと、酸素の物質移動の比較測定を行った。
化学量論的な量のチオ硫酸塩の添加によるヨウ素デンプン錯体の濃青色の消失の目視観察によって、混合時間特性測定を行った。第1のチャンバでは、2つのミキサが2つの別個の循環ループを生じ、これは比較的高い混合時間特性を生じる。中和ミキサを使用したとき、または2つのミキサの相対的な距離が減少したときには、第1の隔室の混合時間に対する影響はほとんど見られなかった。2つの別個の循環ループがRTDに有用であることは確かである。1より多くのセルに対応する滞留時間をは予想することが可能である。無次元の混合時間の結果を以下のテーブル1に示す。

伝導率によるRTD測定の試験から、溢流構成から記載の底流構成へと変更することによって、オートクレーブにおいてより良好なRTDが与えられると結論付けられる。

るのと同じ波数で与えられる。これらの条件では、結果は他のスケールダウン条件とは全く異なる。底流構成のRTDは、より高い動力投入におけるよりも狭く、その最大値は理論的なCSTRに充分近い。溢流堰については、上述のようにRTDはより広く、固体濃度の絶対値は減少している。この結果は、懸濁粒子の均一性が不充分であることを示している可能性がある。この結果は、底流仕切部材設計の1つの利点を示している。オートクレーブにおいてより大きな粒子が蓄積する可能性は、より小さい。図15では、同じ結論が得られる。この図では、ステップ投入応答について示す。溢流堰については、出口における固体濃度は入口におけるよりも充分に低く、固体の蓄積が発生することを意味している。
(a)モデルのオートクレーブに3ppmのCo2+を含有している0.4M硫酸ナトリウム溶液を調製。
(b)ポンプを始動。
(c)狙いの物質移動係数に相当する単位時間毎に、規定量の亜硫酸ナトリウム固体を添加。
(d)個々のチャンバの溶在分子酸素濃度を連続的に測定。
(e)正規化した滞留時間のうち1より大きい期間を通じて条件を維持。
例えば、1つの代替実施形態では、オートクレーブの隔室は、水平に対向するように垂直に配向される。
Claims (21)
- (a)複数の隔室と、
(b)同複数の隔室に配置された複数の撹拌器と、
(c)同複数の隔室を分離しており、各々1つ以上の底流開口部を有する複数の仕切部材と、を備え、
フィードストリームは隣接した隔室を分離している仕切部材における前記1つ以上の底流開口部を通過することによって、同隣接した隔室間を流れる撹拌タンク反応器。 - 前記複数の仕切部材の各々の高さは隣接した上流の隔室のフィードストリームレベルより大きく、前記複数の仕切部材の各々の高さ−直径比は約0.80以上である請求項1に記載のオートクレーブ。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は約0.06m2〜約1.50m2の範囲であり、隣接した隔室間の流量は約200m3/h〜約800m3/hの範囲である請求項1に記載のオートクレーブ。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々における前記1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は異なっており、前記反応器の投入端部にある第1の仕切部材の1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は、前記反応器の排出端部に第1の仕切部材より近い第2の仕切部材の1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積より小さい請求項3に記載のオートクレーブ。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部は、隣接した上流の隔室の撹拌器の最も上のインペラ翼のまたはそれより下の位置に配置されている請求項1に記載のオートクレーブ。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの下部より上に、隣接した上流の隔室における液レベルの約33%以下の高さに配置されている請求項1に記載のオートクレーブ。
- 複数の組の隣接した隔室において撹拌器は反対に回転する請求項1に記載のオートクレーブ。
- 第1の隔室では、第1の撹拌器は右回りに回転し、第1の隔室を隣接した第2の隔室から分離している第1の仕切部材における1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの長手方向軸の右側に配置されており、第2の隔室では、第2の撹拌器は左回りに回転し、第2の隔室を隣接した第3の隔室から分離している第2の仕切部材における1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの長手方向軸の左側に配置されている請求項7に記載のオートクレーブ。
- フィードストリームを処理する方法であって、
(a)複数の隔室と、同複数の隔室に配置された複数の撹拌器と、同複数の隔室を分離しており、各々1つ以上の底流開口部を有する複数の仕切部材とを備えたオートクレーブへフィードストリームを導入することと、
(b)前記オートクレーブへ分子酸素含有ガスを導入することと、
(c)隣接した隔室を分離している仕切部材における前記1つ以上の底流開口部を通じて、同隣接した隔室間に少なくともフィードストリームの大半を流すことと、を含む方法。 - 前記複数の仕切部材の各々の高さは隣接した上流の隔室のフィードストリームレベルよ
り大きく、前記複数の仕切部材の各々の高さ−直径比は約0.80以上である請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は約0.06〜約1.50m2の範囲であり、隣接した隔室間の流量は約200〜約800m3/hの範囲である請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々における前記1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は異なっており、前記反応器の投入端部にある第1の仕切部材の1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は、前記反応器の排出端部に第1の仕切部材より近い第2の仕切部材の1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積より小さい請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部は、隣接した上流の隔室の撹拌器の最も上のインペラ翼のまたはそれより下の位置に配置されている請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの下部より上に、隣接した上流の隔室における液レベルの約33%以下の高さに配置されている請求項9に記載の方法。
- 複数の組の隣接した隔室において撹拌器は反対に回転する請求項9に記載の方法。
- 第1の隔室では、第1の撹拌器は右回りに回転し、第1の隔室を隣接した第2の隔室から分離している第1の仕切部材における1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの長手方向中心線の右側に配置されており、第2の隔室では、第2の撹拌器は左回りに回転し、第2の隔室を隣接した第3の隔室から分離している第2の仕切部材における1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの長手方向中心線の左側に配置されている請求項15に記載の方法。
- 金属硫化物含有材料を処理する方法であって、
(a)投入スラリーを受け入れるための複数の隔室と、同複数の隔室に配置された、投入スラリーを混合するための複数の撹拌器と、同複数の隔室を分離しており、各々1つ以上の底流開口部を含む、隔室から隔室へ投入スラリーを流すための複数の仕切部材とを備えたオートクレーブへ、粉砕された金属硫化物含有材料を含む投入スラリーを導入することと、
(b)前記オートクレーブへ分子酸素含有ガスを導入することと、
(c)酸化金属含有材料を含む生成スラリーを提供するために、投入スラリー中の金属硫化物含有材料を酸化させることと、酸化させることは、隣接した隔室を分離している仕切部材における前記1つ以上の底流開口部を通じて、同隣接した隔室間に少なくともスラリー化した材料の大半を流すことを含むことと、
(d)その後、生成スラリーから金属を回収することと、
を含む方法。 - 前記金属は、卑金属、白金族金属および貴金属のうちの1つ以上であり、前記複数の仕切部材の各々の高さは隣接した上流の隔室のフィードストリームレベルより大きく、前記複数の仕切部材の各々の高さ−直径比は約0.80以上である請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積は約0.06〜約1.50m2の範囲であり、隣接した隔室間の流量は約200〜約800m3/hの範囲であり、前記複数の仕切部材の各々における前記1つ以上の底流開口部の総断面積
はほぼ同じである請求項17に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の仕切部材の各々において、前記1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの下部より上に、隣接した上流の隔室における液レベルの約33%以下の高さに配置されている請求項17に記載の方法。
- 第1の隔室では、第1の撹拌器は右回りに回転し、第1の隔室を隣接した第2の隔室から分離している第1の仕切部材における1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの長手方向軸の右側に配置されており、第2の隔室では、第2の撹拌器は左回りに回転し、第2の隔室を隣接した第3の隔室から分離している第2の仕切部材における1つ以上の底流開口部は、オートクレーブの長手方向軸の左側に配置されている請求項17に記載の方法。
