Abstract
【解決手段】金属水銀、亜硫酸ガス、酸素および水分を含む排煙から金属水銀を吸着除去するための水銀吸着材であって、炭素系材料の表面にヨウ素もしくは臭素またはそれらの化合物が担持され、該炭素系材料に撥水化処理が施されていることを特徴とする水銀吸着材。

Description
微粒子状の活性炭にヨウ化カリウム水溶液を含浸させる工程を省いた点を除き、実施例1と同様にしてハニカム状充填材を作製し、実施例1と同様な条件で模擬排ガス中の水銀を除去する実験を行った。結果を表1に示す。
活性炭(銘柄:クラレコール)を振動ミルを用いて平均粒径約50μmに粉砕した。得られた微粒子状の活性炭にヨウ化カリウムを含む20%硫酸水溶液に減圧含浸することにより、ヨウ素担持量がヨウ素原子換算で0.5ミリグラム原子/g−活性炭になるようにヨウ素を担持させた。こうして調製したヨウ素担持活性炭90重量部に対し、成形助剤としてアミド系樹脂およびポリエチレン系樹脂を合計10重量部になるように混合し、混合物を加圧ニーダを用いて混練した後、ロールを用いて厚さ0.8mmの平板状シートに成形した。この平板状シートの半量を歯車状ロールで波形に加工し、得られた波形シートを残りの未加工平板状シートと交互に積層することにより、ハニカム状の固定床用を作製した。こうして作製したハニカム状充填材を用い、実施例1と同様な条件で模擬排ガス中の水銀を除去する実験を行った。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (20)
- 金属水銀、亜硫酸ガス、酸素および水分を含む排煙から金属水銀を吸着除去するための水銀吸着材であって、炭素系材料の表面に水銀除去薬剤が担持され、該炭素系材料に撥水処理が施されていることを特徴とする水銀吸着材。
- 該水銀除去薬剤がヨウ素もしくは臭素またはそれらの化合物である請求項1記載の吸着材。
- 該ヨウ素もしくは臭素の化合物が、ヨウ素もしくは臭素のアルカリ金属塩、アルカリ土類金属塩、遷移金属塩、水素化物、オキソ酸または有機化合物である請求項2記載の吸着材。
- 該ヨウ素もしくは臭素またはそれらの化合物の担持量が、該炭素系材料1gあたりヨウ素もしくは臭素原子換算で0.001〜0.8ミリグラム原子である請求項2または3記載の吸着材。
- 該炭素系材料が微粒子状の活性炭からなる請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の吸着材。
- 該炭素系材料が平均粒径20〜200μmの微粒子状活性炭からなる成形体である請求項5記載の吸着材。
- 該撥水処理が、水に対する接触角が90度以上の樹脂を該炭素系材料に含有させることにより施されている請求項1〜6のいずれか記載の吸着材。
- 該撥水処理が、該炭素系材料に熱処理を施して表面の親水基を除去することにより施されている請求項1〜7のいずれか記載の吸着材。
- 金属水銀、亜硫酸ガス、酸素および水分を含む排煙を、炭素系材料の表面に水銀除去薬剤が担持され、該炭素系材料に撥水処理が施されている水銀吸着材に、該水銀吸着材の湿潤状態を維持しながら接触させることを特徴とする排煙処理方法。
- 該水銀除去薬剤がヨウ素もしくは臭素またはそれらの化合物である請求項9記載の方法。
- 該ヨウ素もしくは臭素またはそれらの化合物の担持量が、該炭素系材料1gあたりヨウ素もしくは臭素原子換算で0.001〜0.8ミリグラム原子である請求項10記載の方法。
- 該排煙が、湿式排煙脱硫装置の出口ガスである請求項9〜11のいずれか記載の方法。
- 該水銀吸着材に工業用水または希硫酸溶液を連続的もしくは間欠的に噴霧することにより湿潤状態を維持し、該水銀吸着材から流出する流出液を該湿式排煙脱硫装置に供給する請求項12記載の方法。
- 該水銀吸着材から流出する流出液を吸着またはイオン交換処理してヨウ素または臭素を処理した後に該湿式排煙脱硫装置に供給する請求項13記載の方法。
- 該水銀吸着材から流出する流出液を一時滞留させ、その一部を該水銀吸着材に循環噴霧し、他の一部を該湿式排煙脱硫装置に供給する請求項13または14記載の方法。
- 該工業用水または希硫酸溶液に空気を導入するか、または酸化剤を添加したものを噴霧する請求項13〜15のいずれか記載の方法。
- 該水銀吸着材の金属水銀除去性能が所定の値以下になったときに、該工業用水または希硫酸溶液への空気導入量または酸化剤添加量を増加させる請求項16記載の方法。
- 該水銀吸着材の金属水銀除去性能が所定の値以下になったときに、該工業用水または希硫酸溶液にヨウ素もしくは臭素またはそれらの化合物を添加する請求項13〜17のいずれか記載の方法。
- 該排煙中の酸素と亜硫酸ガスとのモル比が10以上である請求項9〜18のいずれか記載の方法。
- 該排煙の酸素および亜硫酸ガスのモル濃度を測定し、酸素と亜硫酸ガスとのモル比が10以上になるように、該排煙に空気を導入する請求項19記載の方法。
