Abstract
【解決手段】密閉電池の端子は、鍔部191の一端側に端子部193が、他端側に円筒状のカシメ部材192が、それぞれ形成されており、円筒状のカシメ部材192が、第1の絶縁部材211、封口板13、第2の絶縁部材212及び集電体181のそれぞれに形成された開口部に挿通され、円筒状のカシメ部材192が拡径方向にカシメられて、外部端子の鍔部191と、封口板13と、集電体181とが機械的に固定されているとともに、円筒状のカシメ部材192の先端部に形成された他の部分よりも薄肉化された薄肉部194が集電体181と密着されており、更に、前記薄肉化された薄肉部194と集電体181とが高エネルギー線により溶接されている。

Claims (6)
- 外部端子が封口板に取り付けられ、前記封口板が内部に電極体を有する電池外装缶の開口部に密封状態に固定され、前記外部端子と電極体の集電体とが電気的に接続されている密閉電池において、
前記外部端子は、鍔部の一端側に端子部が、前記鍔部の他端側に円筒状のカシメ部材が、それぞれ形成されており、
前記円筒状のカシメ部材が、第1の絶縁部材、前記封口板、第2の絶縁部材及び前記集電体のそれぞれに形成された開口部に挿通され、前記円筒状のカシメ部材が拡径方向にカシメられて、前記外部端子の鍔部と、封口板と、集電体とが機械的に固定されているとともに、前記円筒状のカシメ部材の先端部に形成された他の部分よりも薄肉化された薄肉部が前記集電体と密着されており、更に、前記薄肉化された薄肉部と集電体とが高エネルギー線により溶接されていることを特徴とする密閉電池。 - 前記第1の絶縁体は、ガスケットからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密閉電池。
- 外部端子が封口板に取り付けられ、前記封口板が内部に電極体を有する電池外装缶の開口部に密封状態に固定され、前記外部端子と電極体の集電体とが電気的に接続されている密閉電池の製造方法において、
外部端子として、鍔部の一端側に端子部が、前記鍔部の他端側に円筒状のカシメ部材が、それぞれ形成されたものを用い、
前記外部端子の円筒状のカシメ部材を、第1の絶縁部材、封口板、第2の絶縁部材及び前記集電体のそれぞれの開口部に挿通し、
次いで、前記外部端子の鍔部を治具に載置して前記円筒状のカシメ部材を拡径方向にカシメると共に前記カシメ部材の先端部を他の部分よりも薄肉状に成型して前記集電体の表面に密着させ、
その後、前記カシメ部材の先端部の薄肉状に成型された部分の表面から高エネルギー線を照射して前記カシメ部材の先端部の薄肉状に成型された部分と前記集電体とを溶接したことを特徴とする密閉電池の製造方法。 - 前記カシメ部材の先端部の薄肉状に成型された部分を、前記円筒状のカシメ部材の中心軸に対して円環状又は対称に形成したことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の密閉電池の製造方法。
- 前記高エネルギー線としてレーザ光又は電子ビームを用いたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の密閉電池の製造方法。
- 前記高エネルギー線をカシメ部材の先端部の薄肉状に成型された部分の表面に対して60°〜90°の方向から行なうことを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれかに記載の密閉電池の製造方法。
