Abstract
【解決手段】複数の回路ブロックBLmそれぞれにおいて、複数の比較器76mpが、格子状に配置された複数の画素のうちの垂直方向に並ぶ画素72mpに接続された垂直信号線73mpを介して供給される画素信号と、所定の初期電圧から一定の傾きで電圧が変化するスロープ信号とを比較し、複数のラッチ回路78mpが、比較器76mpの比較の結果に応じて、スロープ信号の電圧が、初期電圧から画素信号に一致する電圧に変化するまでの時間に対応する1個のカウンタ77mによるカウント値を記憶する。本発明は、例えば、CMOSセンサに適用することができる。

Claims (6)
- 格子状に配置された複数の画素のうちの垂直方向に並ぶ画素に接続された垂直信号線を介して供給される画素信号と、所定の初期電圧から一定の傾きで電圧が変化するスロープ信号とを比較する、複数の比較手段と、
前記スロープ信号の電圧が、前記初期電圧からの変化を開始してからの時間をカウントする1個のカウンタと、
前記比較手段の比較の結果に応じて、前記スロープ信号の電圧が、前記初期電圧から前記画素信号に一致する電圧に変化するまでの時間に対応する前記カウンタによるカウント値を記憶する、複数の記憶手段と
を有する複数の回路ブロックを備える
撮像回路。 - 前記複数の回路ブロックのうちの1の回路ブロックの垂直方向に並ぶ画素の列どうしの間に、他の1の回路ブロックの垂直方向に並ぶ画素の列が配置されている
請求項1に記載の撮像回路。 - 前記複数の回路ブロックのうちの1の回路ブロックの垂直方向に並ぶ画素の列における画素の画素信号と、他の1の回路ブロックの垂直方向に並ぶ画素の列における画素の画素信号とが加算される
請求項2に記載の撮像回路。 - 前記複数の回路ブロックのうちの1の回路ブロックの垂直方向に並ぶ画素の列どうしの間に配置されている他の1の回路ブロックの垂直方向に並ぶ画素の列における画素の画素信号が間引きされる
請求項2に記載の撮像回路。 - 前記記憶手段は、ラッチ回路、または、サンプル・ホールド回路から構成される
請求項1に記載の撮像回路。 - 前記回路ブロックは、複数の前記垂直信号線からの前記画素信号を選択し、前記比較手段に供給する選択手段をさらに有する
