Claims (3)
- エンジン(E)からの動力伝達を切換可能とした第1および第2メインシャフト(44,45)と、駆動輪に連結されるカウンタシャフト(46)と、第1および第2メインシャフト(44,45)ならびに前記カウンタシャフト(46)間に設けられる複数変速段の歯車列(G1,G2,G3,G4,G5,GR)と、それらの歯車列(G1〜G5,GR)の確立状態を切換えるべく前記各歯車列(G1〜G5,GR)の一部を構成する歯車への係合および非係合を切換えるシフタ(72,73,74)とを備える車両用変速機において、前記各歯車列(G1〜G5,GR)のうち最も確立状態となる頻度が高い特定の歯車列(G5)を用いた走行状態では前記特定の歯車列(G5)以外の歯車列が非確立状態となるように構成されることを特徴とする車両用変速機。
- 複数変速段の変速位置が周方向に間隔をあけて設定されるシフトドラム(95)の外周に、前記シフタ(72〜74)を保持するシフトフォーク(91,92,93)をスライド可能に係合させるリード溝(96,97,98)が設けられ、最高変速段に対応した前記特定の歯車列(G5)だけを確立する最高変速段用変速位置(P5 )と、前記最高変速段(P5 )よりも1段だけ低い変速段に対応した低速段側歯車列(G4)および前記特定の歯車列(G5)をともに確立する共用変速位置(P4-5 )とが、前記シフトドラム(95)の周方向に隣接して設定されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両用変速機。
- 前記エンジン(E)および第1メインシャフト(44)間に第1クラッチ(52)が設けられ、前記エンジン(E)および第2メインシャフト(45)間に第2クラッチ(53)が設けられ、前記特定の歯車列(G5)が第1メインシャフト(44)および前記カウンタシャフト(46)間に設けられ、前記低速段側歯車列(G4)が第2メインシャフト(45)および前記カウンタシャフト(46)間に設けられ、前記シフトドラム(95)を回転せしめる駆動手段(105)の作動ならびに前記第1および第2クラッチ(52,53)の断・接切換を制御する制御ユニット(C)は、第1クラッチ(52)を遮断するとともに第2クラッチ(53)を接続して前記最高変速段よりも1段だけ低い変速段で走行している状態からのシフトアップ時には第1クラッチ(52)を接続するとともに第2クラッチ(53)を遮断することで得られる最高変速段での走行時に前記シフトドラム(95)を最高変速段用変速位置に回動して前記低速段側歯車列(G4)の確立を解除し、第1クラッチ(52)を接続するとともに第2クラッチ(53)を遮断した状態での前記最高変速段での走行時からのシフトダウン時には前記シフトドラム(95)を共用変速位置に回転して低速段側歯車列(G4)および前記特定の歯車列(G5)をともに確立した後に第1クラッチ(52)を遮断するとともに第2クラッチ(53)を接続することを特徴とする請求項2記載の車両用変速機。
