Description
Claims (55)
- 末端部及び基部を備えた管状部材と、
前記管状部材の前記基部に取り付けられるハンドルと、
ピボットに支持される一対のエンドエフェクタと、
前記一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応するリンクと、
前記一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応し、前記管状部材を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部を備える細長い部材と、を有する医療用器具であって、
各リンクの末端部は対応するエンドエフェクタに接続され、各リンクの基部は対応する細長い部材の末端部に接続される、医療用器具。 - 前記細長い部材の各々は可撓性のワイヤを有する、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記細長い部材の各々は、対応する可撓性のワイヤの末端部に接続される基部と、対応するリンクに接続される末端部とを備えたアクチュエータを有する、請求項2に記載の医療用器具。
- 各アクチュエータは対応する可撓性のワイヤよりも剛性が高い、請求項3に記載の医療用器具。
- 各アクチュエータは半円形、円形、矩形及び正方形のうちから選定された断面形状を有する、請求項4に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記細長い部材の基部方向への変位によって対応するエンドエフェクタが閉じ、前記細長い部材の末端部方向への変位によって対応するエンドエフェクタが開く、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 細長い部材の各々は他の細長い部材とは独立に動くように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられたクレビスをさらに有し、該クレビスは前記エンドエフェクタを支持するピボットピンを支持する、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記クレビスは中心軸を有し、細長い部材の各々は前記中心軸に略平行に延びる、請求項8に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられたクレビスをさらに有し、該クレビスは中心軸及び一対の止め部を有し、各止め部は対応するエンドエフェクタが前記中心軸を越えて回転することを防止するように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられたクレビスをさらに有し、該クレビスは前記細長い部材を受容するように構成された貫通孔を備えた本体を有する、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記貫通孔は、各々が前記細長い部材の1つを受容する2つの貫通孔を含む、請求項11に記載の医療用器具。
- 各エンドエフェクタは鉗子爪である、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記鉗子爪の一方は平坦な末端部を有し、前記鉗子爪の他方はカップ形状の末端部を有する、請求項13に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記鉗子爪の少なくとも1つは刃を備える、請求項13に記載の医療用器具。
- 各エンドエフェクタは第1の止め面及び第2の止め面を有する、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 一方のエンドエフェクタの第1の止め面が他方のエンドエフェクタの第2の止め面に当接することにより、両エンドエフェクタは最大に開くことができる、請求項16に記載の医療用器具。
- 細長い部材の各々は他の細長い部材と独立して動くように構成され、それにより前記エンドエフェクタは、最大に開いたときに前記ピボットの回りを回転する、請求項17に記載の医療用器具。
- 一方の細長い部材の少なくとも末端部は基部方向に第1の距離だけ変位可能であり、他方の細長い部材の少なくとも末端部は末端部方向に第2の距離だけ変位可能であり、それにより前記エンドエフェクタは前記ピボットの回りを回転することができる、請求項1に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記第1の距離は前記第2の距離とは異なる、請求項19に記載の医療用器具。
- 末端部及び基部を備えた管状部材と、
前記管状部材の前記基部に取り付けられるハンドルと、
ピボット及び該ピボットに支持されるエンドエフェクタアセンブリを含む末端アセンブリであって、前記エンドエフェクタアセンブリは一対のエンドエフェクタを有し、前記末端アセンブリは中心軸及び一対の止め部を有し、各止め部は対応するエンドエフェクタが前記中心軸を越えて回転することを防止するように構成される、末端アセンブリと、
一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応する細長い部材であって、該細長い部材の各々は、前記管状部材を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部と、前記エンドエフェクタアセンブリに取り付けられる末端部とを備え、それにより一方のエンドエフェクタを前記中心軸に対して第1の角度に位置決めし、他方のエンドエフェクタを前記中心軸に対して前記第1の角度とは異なる第2の角度に位置決めすることができる、細長い部材と、
を有する医療用器具。 - 前記細長い部材の各々は可撓性のワイヤを有する、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記細長い部材の各々は、対応する可撓性のワイヤの末端部に接続される基部と、対応するリンクに接続される末端部とを備えたアクチュエータを有する、請求項22に記載の医療用器具。
- 各アクチュエータは対応する可撓性のワイヤよりも剛性が高い、請求項23に記載の医療用器具。
- 各アクチュエータは半円形、円形、矩形及び正方形のうちから選定された断面形状を有する、請求項24に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記細長い部材の基部方向への変位によって対応するエンドエフェクタが閉じ、前記細長い部材の末端部方向への変位によって対応するエンドエフェクタが開く、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 細長い部材の各々は他の細長い部材とは独立に動くように構成される、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記末端アセンブリは、前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられたクレビスをさらに有し、該クレビスは前記エンドエフェクタを支持するピボットピンを支持する、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 細長い部材の各々は前記中心軸に略平行に延びる、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記末端アセンブリは、前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられたクレビスをさらに有し、該クレビスは、前記細長い部材を受容するように構成された貫通孔を備えた本体を有する、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記貫通孔は、各々が前記細長い部材の1つを受容する2つの貫通孔を含む、請求項30に記載の医療用器具。
- 各エンドエフェクタは鉗子爪である、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。
- 前記鉗子爪の一方は平坦な末端部を有し、前記鉗子爪の他方はカップ形状の末端部を有する、請求項32に記載の医療用器具。

- 細長い部材の各々は他の細長い部材と独立して動くように構成され、それにより前記エンドエフェクタは、最大に開いたときに前記ピボットの回りを回転する、請求項36に記載の医療用器具。
- 一方の細長い部材の少なくとも末端部は基部方向に第1の距離だけ変位可能であり、他方の細長い部材の少なくとも末端部は末端部方向に第2の距離だけ変位可能であり、それにより前記エンドエフェクタは前記ピボットの回りを回転することができる、請求項21に記載の医療用器具。

- 末端部及び基部を備えた管状部材と、前記管状部材の前記基部に取り付けられるハンドルと、ピボットに支持される一対のエンドエフェクタと、前記一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応するリンクと、前記一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応し、前記管状部材を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部を備える細長い部材と、を有する医療用器具であって、各リンクの末端部は対応するエンドエフェクタに接続され、各リンクの基部は対応する細長い部材の末端部に接続される、医療用器具を用意することと、
前記管状部材の末端部及び前記一対のエンドエフェクタを患者内の目標部位まで挿入することと、
前記細長い部材を動かして前記一対のエンドエフェクタ開くように前記ハンドルを操作することと、
前記エンドエフェクタを目標部位に向けて位置決めすることと、
前記細長い部材を動かして目標部位上で前記エンドエフェクタを閉じ、処置を行うように前記ハンドルを操作することとを含む、
医療処置を行うための方法。 - 前記エンドエフェクタを目標部位に向けて位置決めすることは、目標部位の基部寄りに配置された一方のエンドエフェクタを組織壁に当接させることと、前記エンドエフェクタが目標部位に向けて回転するように前記管状部材を変位させることとを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記エンドエフェクタを目標部位に向けて位置決めすることは、目標部位の末端部寄りに配置された一方のエンドエフェクタを組織壁に当接させることと、前記エンドエフェクタが目標部位に向けて回転するように前記管状部材を変位させることとを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記エンドエフェクタは鉗子爪である、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記医療処置は生検を取得することである、請求項44に記載の方法。
- 末端部及び基部を備えた管状部材と、前記管状部材の前記基部に取り付けられるハンドルと、ピボット及び該ピボットに支持されるエンドエフェクタアセンブリを含む末端アセンブリであって、前記エンドエフェクタアセンブリは一対のエンドエフェクタを有し、前記末端アセンブリは中心軸及び一対の止め部を有し、各止め部は対応するエンドエフェクタが前記中心軸を越えて回転することを防止するように構成される、末端アセンブリと、一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応する細長い部材であって、該細長い部材の各々は、前記管状部材を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部と、前記エンドエフェクタアセンブリに取り付けられる末端部とを備え、それにより一方のエンドエフェクタを前記中心軸に対して第1の角度に位置決めし、他方のエンドエフェクタを前記中心軸に対して前記第1の角度とは異なる第2の角度に位置決めすることができる、細長い部材と、を有する医療用器具を用意することと、
前記管状部材の末端部及び前記一対のエンドエフェクタを患者内の目標部位まで挿入することと、
前記細長い部材を動かして前記一対のエンドエフェクタ開くように前記ハンドルを操作することと、
前記エンドエフェクタを目標部位に向けて位置決めすることと、
前記細長い部材を動かして目標部位上で前記エンドエフェクタを閉じ、処置を行うように前記ハンドルを操作することとを含む、
医療処置を行うための方法。 - 前記エンドエフェクタを目標部位に向けて位置決めすることは、目標部位の基部寄りに配置された一方のエンドエフェクタを組織壁に当接させることと、前記エンドエフェクタが目標部位に向けて回転するように前記管状部材を変位させることとを含む、請求項45に記載の方法。
- 前記管状部材を変位させることにより、他方のエンドエフェクタが前記末端アセンブリの前記一対の止め部の1つに当接し、前記他方のエンドエフェクタが前記中心軸を越えて回転することが防止される、請求項46に記載の方法。
- 各エンドエフェクタは第1の止め面及び第2の止め面を有し、前記管状部材を変位させることによって、一方のエンドエフェクタの第1の止め面が他方のエンドエフェクタの第2の止め面に当接し、それにより前記エンドエフェクタが最大に開くことができる、請求項46に記載の方法。
- 前記エンドエフェクタを目標部位に向けて位置決めすることは、目標部位の末端部寄りに配置された一方のエンドエフェクタを組織壁に当接させることと、前記エンドエフェクタが目標部位に向けて回転するように前記管状部材を変位させることとを含む、請求項45に記載の方法。
- 前記管状部材を変位させることにより、他方のエンドエフェクタが前記末端アセンブリの前記一対の止め部の1つに当接し、前記他方のエンドエフェクタが前記中心軸を越えて回転することが防止される、請求項49に記載の方法。
- 各エンドエフェクタは第1の止め面及び第2の止め面を有し、前記管状部材を変位させることによって、一方のエンドエフェクタの第1の止め面が他方のエンドエフェクタの第2の止め面に当接し、それにより前記エンドエフェクタが最大に開くことができる、請求項49に記載の方法。
- 前記エンドエフェクタは鉗子爪である、請求項45に記載の方法。
- 前記医療処置は生検を取得することである、請求項52に記載の方法。
- 末端部及び基部を備えた管状部材と、
前記管状部材の前記基部に取り付けられるハンドルと、
前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられたクレビスであって、該クレビスの中心線からそれぞれオフセットした第1及び第2の貫通孔を有する、クレビスと、
前記クレビスのピボットに支持される一対のエンドエフェクタと、
前記一対のエンドエフェクタの一方に対応し、前記管状部材及び前記第1の貫通孔を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部を備える第1の細長い部材と、
前記一対のエンドエフェクタの他方に対応し、前記管状部材及び前記第2の貫通孔を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部を備える第2の細長い部材と、
を有する医療用器具。 - 末端部及び基部を備えた管状部材と、
前記管状部材の前記基部に取り付けられるハンドルと、
前記管状部材の末端部に取り付けられ、面取りされた末端開口部を備えた貫通孔を有するクレビスと、
前記クレビスのピボットに支持される一対のエンドエフェクタと、
前記一対のエンドエフェクタの各々に対応し、前記管状部材及び前記貫通孔を通って延び、前記ハンドルに取り付けられる基部を備える細長い部材であって、該細長い部材は、前記クレビスと前記一対のエンドエフェクタとの間で前記細長い部材に接続されたカラーを有し、該カラーは、前記クレビスの前記面取りされた末端開口部に係合する面取りされた基部を有する、細長い部材と、
