Abstract
【解決手段】偏光子は、第1平面に垂直な第2平面内の第1および第2高分子物質間の屈折率不整合とは異なる第1平面内の第1および第2高分子物質間の屈折率不整合を生じるように、十分に相違するそれぞれゼロでない応力光学係数を有する少なくとも第1および第2高分子物質の多重交互配向層を含んでいる。第1平面内の屈折率不整合は少なくとも0.03であるのが望ましい。

Claims (3)
- 少なくとも二つの異なる高分子物質の層を多数含む多層複屈折干渉反射偏光子であって、前記少なくとも二つの異なる高分子物質の層は繰り返しパターンの一つを形成して多数配列しており、前記高分子物質の少なくとも一つは複屈折高分子物質を含み、
前記繰り返しパターンにおける少なくとも二つの異なる高分子物質の層の厚さが、入射光の広範囲の波長を偏光するために、前記偏光子の厚さ方向に厚さ勾配を形成していることを特徴とする多層複屈折干渉反射偏光子。 - 前記繰り返しパターンが複屈折高分子物質と他の物質との交互層を含むものである、請求項1記載の多層複屈折干渉反射偏光子。
- 前記偏光子が直交する直線偏光のそれぞれを選択的に反射及び透過するものである、請求項1または2記載の多層複屈折干渉反射偏光子。
