Claims (25)
- −上流入口部分と下流出口部分を有する、オイルからの熱を消散させるための熱交換器;及び
−前記入口部分と前記出口部分と流体連通状態にある少なくとも1つのバイパス弁を内含し、該バイパス弁が、バイパス弁を閉鎖するべく温度上昇と共に増大する熱で活性化されるバネ力を生成する熱起動式バイメタルアクチュエータ部材を有している、少なくとも1つのバイパス弁キャリヤ、
を含んで成る自動車用オイル冷却システムにおいて、前記バイパス弁が開放している場合に、前記熱交換器から前記オイルが迂回させられる自動車用オイル冷却システム。 - 前記バイパス弁キャリヤが、熱交換器に対する取付けのためのバイパス弁を収納するモジュール式アセンブリであり、かくしてバイパス要素は、前記オイルが前記熱交換器をバイパスするような形でオイル流を前記上流入口部分から離れるように迂回させるようになっている請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイパス弁キャリヤが、熱交換器に対する取付けのためのバイパス弁を収納するモジュール式アセンブリであり、かくしてバイパス弁キャリヤは、熱交換器の上流エンドタンクに配置されたオリフィスと相互作用することにより前記熱交換器の冷却管から離れるようにオイル流を迂回させるようになっている、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイパス弁キャリヤが、熱交換器の上流エンドタンクに配置されたオリフィスと相互作用することにより前記熱交換器の冷却管から離れるようにオイル流を迂回させるようになっており、前記オリフィスの面積が、前記入口部分の面積の少なくとも50%である、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイメタルアクチュエータ部材が、二次圧力部域を横断して上流側のオイル流を許容し、かくして開放力を増大させるような形で機能する、請求項3に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイパス弁が、前記上流入口部分及び前記下流出口部分を連結するオリフィスを内含し、該オリフィスが前記バイメタルアクチュエータ部材により閉鎖される、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイパス弁が通常は開放している弁であり、前記下流出口部分は、バイパス弁に作用するオリフィスにおける下流出口部分の第1圧力部域が前記バイパス弁の上流側に生成された第2圧力部域に直接相対しているような形で前記バイパス弁の裏側にポートされている、請求項6に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイパス弁が、バイメタルアクチュエータ部材の長さ方向に対して横方向であるオリフィス流れ方向を有し、バネ力の方向はその長さ方向に対し垂直である、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 長さが前記アクチュエータ部材の幅の少なくとも3倍であり、幅が前記アクチュエータ部材の厚みの少なくとも10倍である、請求項8に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- バイパス弁がバイメタルアクチュエータ部材の長さ方向に対して平行なオリフィス流れ方向を有し、バネ力の方向はその長さ方向に対し平行である、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 長さが前記アクチュエータ部材の幅の少なくとも3倍であり、幅が前記アクチュエータ部材の厚みの少なくとも10倍である、請求項10に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 前記バイメタルアクチュエータ部材は、第1部分と第2部分の熱膨張の比率が3:1〜15:1となるような形でバイメタル組成物で作製されている、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- バイメタルアクチュエータ部材が60℃〜138℃のおおよその温度範囲で閉鎖して密封する、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- バイメタルアクチュエータ部材が70℃〜90℃のおおよその温度範囲で閉鎖して密封する、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- バイメタルアクチュエータ部材が50℃〜70℃のおおよその温度範囲で閉鎖して密封する、請求項1に記載のオイル冷却システム。
- 自動車用熱交換器において、
−熱交換器;
−熱交換器のための入口部分と出口部分に分割され、熱交換器と流体連通状態で連結されている少なくとも1つのエンドタンク;
−第1のエンドタンクの入口部分と流体連通状態にある入口;
−第1のエンドタンクの出口部分と流体連通状態にある出口;
−複数の管のうち少なくとも1本の管が入口部分と流体連通状態にあり、複数の管のうち少なくとももう1本の管が出口部分と流体連通状態にある、熱交換器の中のフロー回路内で内部を通る流体フローのために適合された複数の熱交換器管;及び
−フロー回路全体を通過するのを回避するような形で流体を迂回させるべくフロー回路内の流体を比較的低い運転温度で遮断するように適合されたフロー回路内の中間的場所にある1本のバイパス通路を提供するように適合されている、バイメタルバイパス要素、
を含んで成る熱交換器。 - バイパス要素が、入口の一部である第1の通路及び出口の一部である第2の通路そして第1の通路と第2の通路をつなぐ第3の通路を内含している、請求項16に記載の熱交換器。
- バイパス要素の第1の通路、第2の通路及び第3の通路が単一の部材によって画定されており、該通路が入口と出口の間の流体連通を提供している、請求項16に記載の熱交換器。
- 流体が入口を通って第1の方向に流れ、バイパス要素の第3の通路が少なくとも部分的に、第1の方向とは反対の第2の方向に延在している、請求項16に記載の熱交換器。
- バイパス要素の入口、出口及び通路が単一のキャリヤ部材によって画定されており、該バイパス通路が入口と出口の間の流体連通を提供している、請求項16に記載の熱交換器。
- 流体が入口を通って第1の方向に流れ、バイパス通路が少なくとも部分的に、第1の方向とは反対の第2の方向に延在している、請求項16に記載の熱交換器。
- バイパス要素は、密封部材と、バイパス要素の通路を通って流体が流れるのを実質的に禁止するべく密封部材を選択的に移動させるためのバイメタルアクチュエータとを内含している、請求項16に記載の熱交換器。
- バイメタルアクチュエータは、流体がバイパス要素を通って流れるのを禁止するべく密封部材に対しバネ力を加えるバネであり、該バネ力に、流体が比較的冷たい場合にバイパスを横断して誘発され得る圧力勾配が打ち勝つ、請求項22に記載の熱交換器。
- バネがその幅よりも大きい長さを有し、前記バネ力が前記長さに対して平行な方向に作用する、請求項24に記載の熱交換器。
