Abstract
360,280. Gilled tubes for heat exchangers. COVENTRY RADIATOR & PRESSWORK CO., Ltd. and JACKSON, F. H., Lower Ford Street, Coventry. Jan. 21, 1931, No. 2028. [Class 64 (iii).] In a cooling radiator or condenser consisting of tubes 2 of elongated cross section passing through corrugated transverse metal strips 6 spaced from one another to provide air passages between the tubes, as described in Specification 18768/14, [Class 64 (iii), Surface apparatus &c.], the strips have tongued or flanged holes 7 for the tubes, such that the tongues are sprung on the tubes 2. The tongues in adjacent strips may be arranged to spigot slightly one into the other. The corrugations may be flattened between the longitudinal edges of the strips so that only these edges are actually in contact. Specification 24521/13, [Class 64 (iii), Surface apparatus &c.], is also referred to.
