Abstract

417,573. Radiators for heating buildings. SNELLING, A. F., 30, Wenlock Street, Hull, and STRABOLGI, J. M. KENWORTHY, BARON, 137, Gloucester Road, Kensington, London. May 24, 1934, No. 16565. [Class 64 (ii).] A radiator comprises a sheet metal panel 1 associated with a series of heating tubes 2 of D-section. Each tube carries spaced sheet metal fins 3, the metal bordering the opening being flanged at 4 to engage the curved surface of the tube and at 5 to space the fins apart. The fins are secured to the tubes by welding or soldering, and are spaced at their outer ends by tongues 6 which are pressed out of the metal. The radiator may be mounted in a recess 8 in a wall 9, so that air enters at 10, passes over the heated fins, and is discharged at 11.
