Abstract
407,759. Multitubular steam boilers. INGLIS BOILER SYNDICATE, Ltd., and STUART, J., 65, West Regent Street, Glasgow. Oct. 20, 1932, No. 29345. [Class 123 (ii).] In a return-tube boiler having one or more flue tubes d extending from the rear combustion chamber c to a front combustion chamber, and groups of smoke tubes e leading from the front combustion chamber to the smoke box f, as described in Specification 118,223, [Class 123 (ii)], the rear combustion chamber is separated from the smoke box by water tubes g connected to upper and lower headers h, i and forming the side walls of the combustion chamber. The tube walls may be covered with heat insulating material held in place by sheet metal casings j. The front combustion chamber may also have water-tube walls.
