Abstract

317,249. Yarrow, H. E. Sept. 14, 1928. Dampers for controlling superheat.-In a boiler having a superheater J placed behind a group of boiler tubes G, gases may pass directly from the combustion chamber to the front side of the superheater through flue tubes P, fitted with dampers R. A further superheater may be arranged in the flue space beyond a second group of boiler tubes H, and gases may be allowed to pass..directly to the front of the further superheater from the combustion chamber and from the flue space in which the superheater J is placed.
