Abstract
345,123. Multitubular steam boilers. ROUCKA, E., Blansko, Czecho-Slovakia. April 14, 1930, No. 11768. Convention date, April 16, 1920. [Class 123 (ii).] In a boiler, especially for central heating, with an internal firebox 5 for burning gassy fuels, the firebox, which is disposed over a mechanical grate 4, is divided by an arch 24 into two parts, the upper one merging at its rear end into a widened portion 6 communicating with heating flues 7. The upper firebox and its widened portion may form an L or a T in plan. The flues 7 discharge into a firebox 8 and return flues 9 may be provided, the exhaust gases being then discharged from a smoke box at the bottom of the back of the boiler. The boiler heating surface beside the firebox together with the widened portion of the latter may form a detachable unit connected to the water jacket of the firebox by tubes. The rear wall 10 of the firebox is a water jacket connected to the boiler by connections 12, 13, and mounted on hinges 11 so that it may be opened to gain access to the flues.
