Claims (8)

  1. 垂直方向および水平方向に複数のセルを有するプラズマディスプレイパネルと、前記プラズマディスプレイパネルの前面に貼り付いた透光性の前面シートとからなるディスプレイパネル装置であって、
    前記前面シートは、遮光体であってかつ導電性のメッシュパターンを有するメッシュ層を有し、
    前記メッシュパターンを構成するメッシュにおける対角をなす格子点間の長さが、前記プラズマディスプレイパネルの有するセルの垂直方向および水平方向の長さの長い方よりも短く、
    前記メッシュパターンの平面領域が前記プラズマディスプレイパネルの画面領域よりも大きく、
    前記メッシュパターンを構成するメッシュの配列方向は前記セルの配列方向に対して傾斜している
    ことを特徴とするディスプレイパネル装置。
  2. 前記メッシュの可視光透過率が６０％〜９０％の範囲内の値である
    請求項１記載のディスプレイパネル装置。
  3. 前記前面シートは、前記メッシュの前側に位置する可視光を減衰させる透過率調整層を有する
    請求項１記載のディスプレイパネル装置。
  4. 前記メッシュは、パターニングされた厚さの均一な金属膜である
    請求項１記載のディスプレイパネル装置。
  5. 前記前面シートは、前記メッシュの後側に位置する樹脂からなる衝撃吸収層を有する
    請求項４記載のディスプレイパネル装置。
  6. 前記衝撃吸収層は前記メッシュよりも軟質である
    請求項５記載のディスプレイパネル装置。
  7. 前記衝撃吸収層は０．２ジュールの局部的衝撃に対して前記メッシュを保護する機能をもつ
    請求項５記載のディスプレイパネル装置。
  8. プラズマディスプレイパネルの前面に所定の光学フィルタ機能を備えたフィルタ部材を配置して装置表面を構成してなるディスプレイ装置において、
    前記光学フィルタ部材と前記プラズマディスプレイパネルとの間に、少なくともフィルタ面側が黒色で当該フィルタ部材からなる装置表面からプラズマディスプレイパネル側に反射して再帰する表示光を吸収する均一な厚さの金属メッシュパターン膜を設け、かつ当該金属メッシュパターン膜と前記フィルタ部材と前記プラズマディスプレイパネルとが各々の間に空気との界面を介することなく一体的に接合されてなる
    ことを特徴とするディスプレイ装置。
