Abstract
【解決手段】CDの記録時に一般CDと高密度CDの区分、高密度CDにおける各層の固有番号および各層の記録密度状態などの情報をリードイン領域のZERO領域とサブコードのQチャネルのZERO領域に記録する記録ステップと、CDの再生時にリードインのZERO領域を読み取って各曲に対する記録密度状態および位置情報を判別し、判別された各曲の記録密度状態および位置情報によってスピンドルモータの線速度およびトラッキングサーボ、フォーカシングサーボを各曲に対して制御する再生ステップとを包含する。

Description
a層は一般のCDの2倍、b層は一般のCDの4倍、
a層は一般のCDの1倍、b層は一般のCDの2倍、
a層は一般のCDの4倍、b層は一般のCDの1倍、
a層は一般のCDの4倍、b層は一般のCDの4倍など、高密度CDは、多様な高密度の状態でデータを記録することができる。
例えば、下層ならば左側4ビットに1を記録し、上層ならば左側4ビットに2を記録し、一般CDフォーマットであれば右側4ビットに0を記録し、2倍密度であれば右側4ビットに2を記録し、4倍密度であれば右側4ビットに4を記録することができる。

Claims (13)
- 第1の層および第2の層を含む多層構造を有する記録媒体であって、
該第1の層は、該第2の層よりも低い記録密度を有し、
該第2の層は、該記録媒体の層の特定の領域に記録された、高記録密度に関する区分情報、層ID情報、および記録密度情報を少なくとも有する、
記録媒体。 - 前記第1の層がCD(コンパクトディスク)層であり、前記第2の層はDVD(デジタル多用途ディスク)のような高密度層である、請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記第1の層は、該層の特定の領域に記録された、一般記録密度に関する区分情報、層ID情報、および記録密度情報を有する、請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記区分情報、層ID情報、および記録密度情報は、各層のリードイン領域にそれぞれ記録される、請求項3に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記区分情報、層ID情報、および記録密度情報は、前記第2の層のリードイン領域にそれぞれ記録される、請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記区分情報、層ID情報、および記録密度情報は、リードイン領域および前記第2の層におけるユーザデータ領域の特定の領域にそれぞれ記録される、請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記区分情報、層ID情報、および記録密度情報は、リードイン領域および主データ領域のデータユニットに記録される、請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 多層構造を有する光ディスクから情報を再生する方法であって、
該光ディスクのある領域に、一般記録密度または高記録密度に関する区分情報、層ID情報および記録密度情報を含む状態情報が記録され、該状態情報のうち少なくとも1つに基づいて、現在の記録層が、一般記録密度層である第1の層であるか、または高記録密度層である第2の層であるかを判別する工程と、
その判別する工程の結果に基づいて、該第1の層または該第2の層の主データ領域に記録された情報を再生するようにサーボ制御する工程と
を包含する、情報再生方法。 - 前記状態情報が、第1の層および/または第2の層のリードイン領域に記録され、これにより、対応する層が判別される、請求項8に記載の情報再生方法。
- 前記状態情報が、第1の層および/または第2の層のリードイン領域および主データ領域に記録され、これにより、対応する層が判別される、請求項8に記載の情報再生方法。
- 前記第1の層はCD(コンパクトディスク)用の層であり、前記第2の層は、DVD(デジタル多用途ディスク)のような高密度用の層である、請求項8に記載の情報再生方法。
- 前記制御する工程は、前記判別された層に応じて、スピンドルモータの速度を制御する、請求項11に記載の情報再生方法。
- 前記制御する工程は、前記判別された層に応じて、フォーカシングおよびトラッキングサーボ動作を制御する、請求項11に記載の情報再生方法。
