Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.1.2よりも大きいコントラスト比を供することができるドープ金属酸化物 含有粒子。 2.該金属酸化物が酸化スズである請求項1記載の粒子。 3.白色またはパステル調顔料基材上にコートされたドープ酸化スズを含む請求 項2記載の粒子。 4.該ドープ金属酸化物がドープ酸化スズを含み、当該粒子においてレドックス 変化を引き起こすのに十分な電気化学的ポテンシャルの存在下で、該ドープ酸化 スズをイオン移動に暴露すると色変化を供するエレクトロクロミック的に有効量 のドーパントを該粒子がさらに含む請求項1記載の粒子。 5.該酸化スズはフッ素をドープされている請求項4記載の粒子。 6.該酸化スズがアンチモンおよびニオブよりなる群から選択される少なくとも 1つのドーパントでドープされている請求項4記載の粒子。 7.該コントラスト比が少なくとも2である請求項6記載の粒子。 8.アンチモンでドープされた請求項7記載の粒子。 9.該顔料基材が二酸化チタン、シリカ、アルミナ、マイカ、硫酸バリウム、ホ ウ酸アルミニウム、およびその混合物よりなる群から選択される請求項8記載の 粒子。 10.該粒子が0.05ないし20マイクロメートルの範囲の公称サイズを有す る請求項9記載の粒子。 11.該ドープ金属酸化物が酸化スズであって、該粒子が白色またはパステル調 顔料との混合物であり、ここで、該混合物のコントラスト比が1.2より大きい 請求項1記載の粒子。 12.該金属酸化物が酸化インジウムである詰求項1記載の粒子。 13.該酸化インジウムかスズでドープされている請求項12記載の粒子。 14.該粒子が乾燥した共沈酸化インジウム・酸化スズである請求項13記載の 粒子。 15.該エレクトロクロミックディスプレイをスイッチングするのに効果的な電 圧範囲にわたって、印加電荷および電圧の間に実質的な線形関係を有するエレク トロクロミックディスプレイ。 16.該ディスプレイが、電解質と接触したエレクトロクロミック的に活性な材 料を含有する粒子をコートした電極を含む請求項15記載のエレクトロクロミッ クディスプレイ。 17.単一極性範囲の電圧にわたって印加電荷および電圧の間に実質的な線形関 係を有する請求項16記載のエレクトロクロミックディスプレイ。 18.該エレクトロクロミック的に活性な材料がアンチモンドープ酸化スズであ る請求項16記載のエレクトロクロミックディスプレイ。 19.該エレクトロクロミックディスプレイが該電圧範囲にわたって該電圧に対 して実質的に線形性である反射率を呈する請求項15記載のエレクトロクロミッ クディスプレイ。 20.該電圧範囲が−1.3ボルトないし+1.3ボルトの範囲にわたる請求項 19記載のエレクトロクロミックディスプレイ。 21.該エレクトロクロミックディスプレイにおけるエレクトロクロミック的に 活性な材料がアンチモンドープ酸化スズを含む請求項19記載のエレクトロクロ ミックディスプレイ。 22.熱処理してベースの酸化アンチモンスズ化合物の粒子を 形成し、これを酸化または還元して抵抗性で粒状のアンチモンドープ酸化スズが 得られる、混合アンチモンおよびスズ化合物粒子から作成された抵抗性の粒状ア ンチモンドープ酸化スズであって、該酸化アンチモンスズ化合物の粉末抵抗率の 少なくとも2倍の粉末抵抗率を有することを特徴とする該酸化物。 23.0.2ないし10マイクロメートルの範囲の公称寸法の粒子を含む請求項 22記載の抵抗性で粒状のアンチモンドープ酸化スズ。 24.300℃を超える温度で熱処理して水を放出させ、ベースの酸化アンチモ ンスズ化合物の粒子を形成し、これを酸化または還元して抵抗性で粒状のアンチ モンドープ酸化スズが得られる、混合アンチモンおよびスズ水酸化物粒子の溶液 からの沈殿によって作成された抵抗性の粒状アンチモンドープ酸化スズであって 、該ベースの酸化アンチモンスズ化合物の粉末抵抗率の少なくとも2倍の粉末抵 抗率を有することを特徴とする該酸化物。 25.ニオブドープ酸化スズを含み、1.2を超えるコントラスト比を有するエ レクトロクロミック的に活性な粒子。 26.該粒子がニオブドープ酸化スズをコートした基材を含む 請求項25記載のエレクトロクロミック的に活性な粒子。 27.該粒子が1.5を超えるコントラスト比を有する請求項26記載のエレク トロクロミック的に活性な粒子。 28.スズ化合物を含有する溶液およびニオブ化合物を含有する溶液が添加され 、得られた固体を加熱処理した水が除去された硫酸バリウムスラリーを、濾過す ることによって作成された請求項26記載のエレクトロクロミック的に活性な粒 子。 29.該粒子が0.72%のニオブドープ酸化スズを含む請求項25記載のエレ クトロクロミック的に活性な粒子。 30.エレクトロクロミック材料の層およびイオン供給電解質層の間の界面を横 切ってポテンシャルを印加するためのイオン供給電解質層および導体と接触した エレクトロクロミック材料の層を含み、ここで、電解質層に対するエレクトロク ロミック材料上の電荷が印加ポテンシャルに応じて直線的に変化するエレクトロ クロミック装置。 31.該エレクトロクロミック材料がスズドープ酸化インジウム、混合スズ(I I)−スズ(IV)酸化物、またはアンチモン、ニオブ、フッ素もしくはその混 合物でドープされた酸化スズを含む請求項30記載のエレクトロクロミック装置 。 32.該エレクトロクロミック材料が511Å未満のサイズを有する微結晶子を 含む請求項30記載のエレクトロクロミック装置。 33.少なくとも1.2のコントラスト比を有する請求項30記載のエレクトロ クロミック装置。 34.エレクトロクロミックポテンシャルを可動性イオンと接触したドープ酸化 スズに印加することによって1.2を超えるエレクトロクロミックコントラスト 比を生じさせる方法。 35.1,000オーム−cm未満の粉末抵抗率および少なくとも10m2/g の表面積を有する粒状エレクトロクロミック材料で電極をコートすることを特徴 とする印加電圧と線形関係を有するエレクトロクロミック反射を生じさせる方法 。 36.該エレクトロクロミック材料がその酸化および還元形態の区別可能に異な る色を有する請求項35記載の方法。 37.非ファラデーエレクトロクロミックディスプレイ装置。 38.印加電圧を変化させることを含む電圧が印加されるエレクトロクロミック 装置のエレクトロクロミック反射率の変化を生じさせる方法であって、ここで反 射率の変化は印加電圧の一次関数である該方法。
