993,930. Centrifugal fans. F. J. GORMAN. Oct. 3, 1963, No. 39026/63. Heading F1C. A fan having an inlet adjacent the axis of rotation and a peripheral outlet, such as a centrifugal fan, is removably supported on a vertical column 6, Fig. 4, by a laterally extending hook 8 which receives a collar 5 of the axial inlet of the fan. The direction of discharge from the fan may be varied by adjusting the angular position of the outlet 11, Fig. 3, in a circular impeller casing 1, relative to the support. An electric driving motor is housed in a casing 4. The fan may be removed from the support and rested on a base 10 for operation with the motor shaft vertical.
