Abstract

1,271,782. Axial-flow fans. SOC LYONNAISE DE VENTILATION INDUSTRIELLE SOLYVENT VENTEC. Feb.26, 1970 [March 11, 1969], No.9227/70. Heading F1C. Fan blades 2 have curved recesses 2a at the inner ends of their downstream edges to permit the addition of an annular fairing 6 when the fan is provided with diffuser blades 7 carried by a support 8 having a diameter greater than that of the impeller hub 3. The fairing is secured to the hub by a nut 10. The support 8 forms a housing for the driving motor. If the blades 2 are of adjustable-pitch type, the fairing 6 is formed with depressions to accommodate the movement of the blades.
