Abstract

The housing 2 for the electric driving motor is mounted in the fan housing by means of a plurality of radially extending fixing arms 4, connected at outer ends thereof to the fan housing and releasably connected by fixing means 7 at lower ends thereof to the axially extending profiled rails 22 on the motor housing at any desired position therealong. By virtue of the profiled rails, the size of motor used with a given set of impeller blades can be changed as desired without the need for any structural alteration to the fixing arrangement for the fan housing.
