1292554 Axial-flow fans I S SALAZAR 8 Jan 1971 [12 Jan 1970] 1108/71 Heading F1C In an axial-flow fan, the driving motor 6 is contained in a housing 5 providing an open slot extending across the flow duct 1 and supported by guide vanes 8, the duct being enlarged in external size over the length of the housing so that the flow area is substantially constant. The impeller blades 4 are suitable for providing a flow in either direction, depending on the direction of impeller rotation. Coupling 7 may be flexible. Two or more impellers may be provided, and may be driven by a single motor or by two or more motors.
