1,196,488. Centrifugal fans. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. Nov. 1, 1967 [Nov. 4, 1966], No. 49660/67. Heading F1C. In a radial-flow fan for cooling enclosed electrical machines, having a rotory diffuser formed at the periphery of the fan wheel and a stationary diffuser formed by plates 7, 8, the rotory diffuser is inclined as shown to provide the substantially radial flow with an axial-flow component, and the edges 6 of the fan wheel blades are inclined as shown so that the blade height increases in the direction of the axial - flow component. This arrangement minimizes vortex formation in the air flow.
