1333307 Centrifugal fans WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 19 April 1971 [7 April 1970] 24943/71 Heading F1C In a centrifugal fan, the casing 10 has an inlet cone 13 which converges to a location 24 where its diameter is less than that of the impeller inlet 20, and then flares outwardly to terminate within inlet 20 and substantially in the plane of impeller side plate 16. Moreover the edge defining the inlet 20 is chamfered at 35 to assist in guiding the flow, and sealing plate 30 is arranged close to the side plate 16.
