1278535 Centrifugal pumps ECODYNE CORP 4 Nov 1970 [6 Nov 1969] 52456/70 Addition to 1288080 Heading F1C In a pump assembly as described in the parent Specification, comprising a centrifugal pump unit mounted on a plate 15 which can be mounted on the upper periphery of a manhole and having a motor 25 mounted on the upper side of the plate and a centrifugal pump 30 mounted on the lower side of the plate with its volute 31 connected directly to the plate, the pump impeller 28 is positioned with respect to an aperture 42 in the plate and an aligned aperture in the volute so as to permit the motor and impeller to be lifted from the plate without disturbing the volute or the pump inlet 35 and outlet (36).
