848,147. Electric motors. RIJN, VAN J. C. June 13, 1958, No. 19031/58. Class 35. [Also in Group XXVI] In the motor-driven axial-flow fan shown, the rotor shaft 15 is journalled in a member 14, either directly, as shown, or through ball or roller bearings, axial displacement of the shaft being prevented by means of a screw 17 and washer 18 or by means of a snap-ring. The member 14 is supported from the casing 12 by means of guide-blades 13 and carries the motor stator 19, the supply leads 21 passing through passages within two of the guide-blades. The rotor bars of the motor are carried by a cylindrical extension 23 of the impeller hub 10.
