Abstract

673,732. Centrifugal governors. MONOCAM, Ltd. Nov. 13,1947 [Nov. 15, 1946], No. 33986/46. Class 57 A centrifugal governor 11 is loaded by a spring 18 enclosed in telescopic covers 17, 19 and the governor sleeve 14 is connected to' a lever 21 connected to a regulating member, e.g. of a fuel injection pump. The lever 21 is pivoted on a pin 26 that is carried in slots 27b in levers 27 actuated by a handle 35 and having relatively fixed pivots 28. When the lever 27 is adjusted, the lever 21 is also adjusted by turning on its pivot at the governor sleeve and simultaneously an extension 32 on the lever 27 adjusts the loading of the spring 18 by moving the cover 19. The characteristics of the control may be varied by varying the position of the pivot 28.
