Abstract

598,717. Centrifugal governors. SOC. ANON. A. SAURER. Sept. 6, 1945, No. 23041. Convention date, Oct. 25, 1944. [Class 57] The centrifugal governor 3 is connected by a lever 12 and link 19 to the control rod 20 of a fuel injection pump and by a lever 13 to the loading spring 17. Both levers 12, 13, are slotted to allow the fulcrum pins 23, 24 to be adjusted by movement of the handle 27 to simultaneously vary the leverage through which the spring 17 acts upon the centrifugal governor and also to vary the relative movement of the rod 20 to the governor. Stops 28, 29 are provided to limit the maximum .and minimum fuel supplies. In an alternative construction the governor, loading spring and control rod are connected to a single lever having a variable fulcrum.
