500,320. Speed governors. SOC. ANON. SOLEX. Feb. 23, 1938, No. 5761. .Convention date, Feb. 24, 1937. [Class 57] An unbalanced valve 1 is arranged in an induction pipe 2 of an internal-combustion engine, and is loaded by an adjustable spring 5. A manually operated lever 9 is connected to the valve 1 in known manner with lost motion. One or more passages are provided in the valve and may be arranged as 1<1>, in which the edge of the valve is connected to the pressure existing in front of the valve, or as at 1<2> wherein the edge is connected to the pressure existing at the rear of the valve. Passages as 11 and 1<2> may be formed on the same valve in any combination. The result of providing these passages is that at varying positions of the valve, modifying forces are exerted.
