520,427. Centrifugal governors. S.P.I.C.A. SOC. POMPE INIEZIONE CASSANI AFFINI, CASSANI, F., and CASSANI, G. Sept. 21, 1938, No. 27549. [Class 57] A centrifugal speed governor includes a leaf spring G adjustable by a bolt H for setting a pump control lever F for idling speeds, springs L (not shown) interconnecting the weights A, and stronger springs B which are brought into play at higher speeds and determine the maximum speed. At idling speeds the spring G acts against the springs L which are insufficient to move the weights A into contact with shoulders C, at higher speeds the spring G acts against the springs L and the springs B, and at a maximum speed a stop I on the shoulder C engages an adjustable stop nut D to cut off the fuel supply and prevent racing. Radial movement of the weights A is transmitted to the lever F through bell-crank levers E.
