Abstract

463,325. Speed governors. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. Sept. 25, 1935, No. 26511. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1934. [Class 57] A centrifugal governor 12 is mounted on an extension of the driving shaft of a fuel injection pump E and the governor sleeve 15 is connected by a lever 22 and rod 23 to the regulating rack 24 of the pump. The fulcrum pin 28 of the lever 22 is carried in a slot 29 of a lever 30 pivoted at 27. A setting lever 31 cooperates with a quadrant 35 and is pivoted to the lever 30 and is engaged by spring loaded plungers 32, 33 carried by the lever 30. The maximum and minimum delivery of the pump is determined by stops 26, 26<1> and 25, 25<1>. Adjustable stops 38, 39 are provided to limit the movement of the lever 22. The lever 30 is connected by a rod 37 to a lever 36 for adjusting the time of injection. In another construction, all the levers and the governor are mounted in a casing with the exception of lever 31 which is mounted outside and. the springs 32, 33 are replaced by torsional springs.
