Abstract

666,465. Automatic voltage control systems. FERRANTI, Ltd., and HEAPS, J. G. Feb. 20, 1951 [Nov. 24, 1949], No. 30103/49. Class 38 (iv). A D.C. electronic voltage stabilizer comprises a tetrode valve 1 in series with the load, a valve 11 connected to yield an output voltage inversely dependent on the load voltage for application to the control grid of the valve 1 and to a further amplifier valve 20, the output of the valve 20 being applied to the screen grid of the valve 1. The anode of valve 20 may be supplied directly from the source Fig. 2 (not shown), or from a separate supply as shown. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the valve 1 is connected in parallel with the load, control voltage being applied to the control and screen grids.
