Abstract
698,687. Automatic voltage control systems. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., BRYDEN, J. E., and EASTER, B. Nov. 13, 1951 [Nov. 13, 1950], No. 27695/50. Class 38 (iv). In an automatic voltage regulator of the type having a valve 1 in series between the source 3 and the load 5, the valve being controlled by a second valve 9 which compares a portion of the output voltage with a reference source 11; a pair of gas-filled voltage stabilizer tubes 21, 22, are connected between the control grid of valve 1 and the cathode of valve 9 so as to prevent the voltage on the grid from substantially exceeding a predetermined value.
