Abstract

719,064. Valve amplifying circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. May 8, 1952 [May 8, 19511, No. 10741/51. Class 40 (6). [Also in Group XXXV] The amplifier controlling an automatic voltage stabilizer (see Group XXXV) consists of valves 21, 22 in series. Different fractions of the input signal are tapped off potential divider 10, 11, 12, and applied to the control grids of both valves. Valve 21 has a high mutual conductance (10 mA/v) and a large part of its anode current is carried by a resistor 25. The valve 22 presents a high impedance to the anode of valve 21 by virtue of its low mutual conductance (0.1 mA/v) and has a large anode load 23 (1 megohm) so that both valves operate with a high gain to control the regulating valve 1.
