Abstract

757,214. Transistor amplifying circuits. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Aug. 26, 1954 [Aug. 11, 1953], No. 22150/53. Class 40 (6). The output impedance of an amplifier is arranged to be substantially independent of the transistor parameters by the provision of feedback dependent on the output voltage and current. In an earthed emitter junction transistor amplifier, Fig. 2a, feeding a load RL, a resistor RA provides voltage feedback, current feedback being derived from a series resistor RS over resistor RB. A similar arrangement may be applied to a D.C. connected cascade amplifier, Fig. 3, feeding a load over an output transformer.
