Abstract
737,249. Transistor amplifying circuits. WESTERN ELECTRIC CO., Inc. Nov. 18, 1953 [Nov. 19, 1952], No. 31961/53. Class 40 (6). In an amplifier the bandwidth of the circuit is made equal to or greater than the alpha frequency cut-off by the employment of negative feedback equal to or greater than the positive feedback introduced by the base resistance. A non-phase inverting transformer 17, Fig. 3A, is employed in an earthed base circuit with feedback from the collector to the base or alternatively, Fig. 4A (not shown) a phase-inverting transformer may be used between the base and emitter connections. In a similar manner, Fig. 5A, a phase-inverting transformer 23 is em-. ployed between collector and emitter in an earthed emitter circuit or a non-phase-inverting transformer may be used between collector and base, Fig. 6 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 7, employing an earthed collector, a phaseinverting transformer 29 is employed between the emitter and base or a non-phase-inverting transformer, Fig. 8 (not shown), between emitter and collector.
