935,688. Valve non-linear circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 26, 1959 [Nov. 26, 1958], No. 38033/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (6). The non-linear circuit of Specification 702,325 in which the gain increases as the signal level decreases, is modified by the provision of a capacitor connected across the common cathode impedance so that the change in gain is less at the higher frequency end of the amplifier's range. The circuit is further modified by the provision of an output network having a transfer characteristic which is less for relatively high frequencies. Transistors may be used in place of valves. Specifications 449,242 and 702,359 also are referred to.
