Abstract

840,090. Transistor amplifier circuits. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. Aug. 16, 1956 [Aug. 16, 1955], No. 25048/56. Class 40 (6). In a transistor amplifier comprising at least two tuned coupling circuits and means for controlling the gain, the tuned circuits are de-tuned in opposite directions to provide the desired band-width and positive feed-back is provided to maintain the bandwidth constant as the gain of the amplifier is varied. The Figure shows an I.F. amplifier in which the circuits 1 and 3 are de-tuned in opposite directions by 2 kc/s. and in which the positive feed-back is provided through a capacitor 7 or through a suitable phase-changing network. The collector electrodes of the transistors are connected to taps on the tuned circuit so as to improve the matching and neutralizing circuits may be provided if necessary.
