[Also in Group XXXV] A network of constant amplification but adjustable maximum output comprises an amplifier 2 with a power output stage 3 followed by an adjustable attenuator 5, the gain being maintained constant by an overall negative feedback path 7. The arrangement is described as applied to a servo control system (see Group XXXV).
