[Also in Group XL (c)] In an arrangement in which a measuring amplifier 1 is fed from a ionization chamber 4 via a cable possessing capacity C c , the amplifier being direct-coupled and having a negative feedback path comprising resistor R f and the associated stray capacity C Rf , phase-shift in the negative feedback path at higher frequencies due to the cable capacity is removed by insertion of a resistor R between the cable output and amplifier input. Phase-shift in the amplifier 1 is, in addition kept small for those frequencies at which some phase-shift occurs in the feedback loop, but at higher frequencies may be allowed to increase.
