Abstract

914,528. Valve-amplifying circuits. WAYNE KERR LABORATORIES Ltd., and MILDWATER, J. June 15, 1961 [March 16, 1960], No. 9241/60. Class 40 (6). [Also in Group XXXVI] A two-stage unity-gain zerophase-shift amplifier, for use in an impedance-comparator circuit (see Group XXXVI), comprises a cathode follower 40 from the cathode of which the amplifier output 0 is taken. The second stage 44 is fed by the signal developed across the anode load resistor 42 and gives a phase reversal with capacitative feedback to the output 0. This gives a much higher open loop gain than would be the case with a single valve and ensures unity closed loop gain as required in the application in question.
