818,057. Magnetic amplifiers. METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO. Ltd. Dec. 19, 1956 [Sept. 23, 1955], No. 27239/55. Class 40 (9). In a push-pull magnetic amplifier, feedback is derived from the main windings by transformer action. Feedback windings 23A, 23B are connected in closed circuits with rectifiers 22a, 22b. The rectifier outputs are connected to a resistor 17 in the control circuit which includes windings 15. As shown, the rectifier outputs are opposed to the control current, and provide negative feedback. The feedback is positive if the control current is reversed. Bias windings 12 and feedback windings 9, 10, 11 are arranged substantially as described in Specification 803,341. Specification 659,762 also is referred to.
