Abstract

823,466. Switching systems. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. June 21, 1957 [June 22, 1956], No. 19622/57. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] A control circuit for the symmetrical control of an alternating current circuit 1 including a load 5 comprises a pair of transistors 3, 4 connected together in such a way that the base of each one is connected to the emitter of the other, the alternating current circuit 1 being connected to the pair of collector electrodes and a transformer 2, to the primary winding 2a of which is fed a rectangular control signal, having its secondary winding 2b connected to the pair of base electrodes. The transistors 3, 4 are disposed in an evacuated housing 6. Fig. 2 shows all the possible combinations of polarities obtainable, the circuit passing current when the polarities are as shown in Figs. 2a, 2d (the current path indicated by the dotted lines) and being blocked with the polarities shown in Figs. 2b, 2c.
