Abstract
928,139. Transformers. SOLARTRON ELECTRONIC GROUP Ltd. Dec. 14, 1961 [Dec. 14, 1960], No. 43058/60. Class 38 (2). Two ranges of input or output voltage are obtained from a transformer having two tapped primary (or secondary) windings 17, 18 which have their ends and their tappings connected to contacts 1-7 arranged in rows R 1 - R 6 the connections being such that when the contacts in one row are connected by a member 13 (Fig. 3) facing in one direction the windings 17, 18 or selected parts thereof (depending on the row) are connected in series while when the direction of connector member 13 is reversed they are connected in parallel. The contacts are formed as sockets in a moulded panel on top of the transformer. Windings 17 and 18 may be wound bifilarly.
