Abstract

876,769. Binding-posts; two-part couplings. WOLFF, H. W. Feb. 4, 1960 [Feb. 5, 1959], No. 4056/59. Addition to 779,625. Class 38 (1). In a circuit-breaker having a terminal or terminals according to the parent Specification, an adaptor is employed with the or each terminal whereby the circuit-breaker may be connected directly to a bus-bar or provided with back-stud or plug-in connections. As shown in Fig. 1, the adaptor may comprise a Z-shaped strip A, the part a of which is riveted or otherwise secured to the bus-bar B and the part a<1> of which is received in the terminal c of the circuit-breaker where it is clamped by the screw D. To provide a back-stud connection the adaptor comprises a threaded post A<1>, Fig. 3, with a flat head a<2> which is clamped by the screw D whilst to provide a plug-in connection, the adaptor comprises a flat strip a<3>, Fig. 4, having a bent-over tongue a<4> which is clamped in the terminal.
