771,945. Transistor amplifying circuits. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. May 20, 1955 [June 14, 1954], No. 14614/55. Class 40(6) In a circuit with a tapped impedance 16 in the emitter lead, the input is applied between the base 8 and the tap 14 the output being taken from across the impedance. By varying the position of the tap 14 the amplifier may be arranged to operate between the common emitter and the common collector condition. The variation in gain, input, and distortion with variation in feed-back are given in Fig. 2 (not shown). The output load 20 may be a loud-speaker and the collector circuit is energized from a power supply P.
