Abstract
940,980. Transistor amplifying circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 16, 1960 [Feb. 17, 1959], No. 5400/59. Heading H3T. In order to reduce the shunting effect of the D.C. feedback stabilizing path on the input impedance of an emitter follower an intermediate point of the path is decoupled to a point in the circuit where there occur voltage variations corresponding to and of the same polarity as the voltage applied to the base of the emitter follower. D.C. feedback is over resistors R 4 , R 5 connected between the collector and base of transistor T, Fig. 3, or between the collector of transistor T2, connected in cascade with transistor T 1 , Fig. 4, and the base of the latter. The junction of resistors R 4 , R 5 is decoupled by capacitor C 2 to the emitter of transistor T or the emitter of T 2 ; in the latter case the input resistance of the transistor T 2 stage is employed as the emitter load of the transistor T 1 stage.
