Abstract

882,294. Transistor amplifying circuits. DAWE INSTRUMENTS Ltd. May 5, 1960 [May 19, 1959], No. 16981/59. Class 40(6). A transistor amplifier circuit having a high input impedance comprises two emitterfollower cascaded function transistors 1, 2, stage 1 having an emitter load impedance in two series-connected parts 3, 4 the latter part also being common to the emitter circuit of transistor 2. The emitter of transistor 1 is connected for A.C. signals only to the base of transistor 2 and its collector is connected to the junction of the impedances 3, 4 through capacitor 6 which may be replaced by a Zener diode or an inert cell which act as voltage stabilizers. One terminal 11 of the 'power supply is connected to the collector of transistor 2 and thence via the high impedance 7 to the collector of transistor 1. The value of resistor 4 is of smaller magnitude than any of the other resistive components in the circuit.
