Abstract

1,111,571. Differential amplifiers. NORTH AMERICAN AVIATION Inc. 5 May, 1965, No. 19031/65. Heading H3T. A differential amplifier has an output stage which amplifies both voltage and current and which has a point from which common mode signals are fed back negatively to the input terminals. As shown, the output stage provides both current and voltage amplification for the signal derived from the collectors and has a common emitter point from which common mode signals are fed back negatively through resistors 13 and 14 to the bases of the input transistors. Negative feedback is also provided for the differential signals and the common emitter impedance 36 of the output stage may be replaced by a constant current transistor (Fig. 2, not shown).
