Abstract
516,697. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and ROCHE, A. H. July 5, 1938, No. 19901. [Class 40 (v)] In an amplifier in which the feed-back is small and is varied to control the gain the output impedance is maintained substantially constant by altering the ratio between the current and the voltage feed-back. Two of the arms of the output bridge may consist of variable resistances conjointly operated, Fig. 1 (not shown). An impedance Rf may be connected across a diagonal of the output bridge and varied simultaneously with one of the arms Ra of the bridge. Any or all of the bridge arms may be a coupled impedance to give desired gain-frequency or impedancefrequency characteristics.
